Who we are

Lima

Iñaki López

I am a filmmaker by training and a musician by profession, working at the crossroads of cinema and music. As a music supervisor and composer, I bring a holistic vision to every project, understanding both the language of music and the narrative rhythm of film.

With over 15 years of experience in the music industry—both as a composer for audiovisual projects and as a performer with my band Kokoshca—I have built a critical and global perspective that allows me to identify, curate, and manage the perfect music for any story.

What sets me apart as a supervisor is this broader vision: my understanding of the filmmaking process, from script to final edit, enables me to ensure that music becomes not just an addition, but an essential narrative element—always serving the work and the vision of its creators.

I have built my career in cultural management, always focusing on the intersection of film and music. For over 17 years, I have worked in programming, coordinating, and producing audiovisual and music initiatives across a variety of formats and contexts.

From 2007 to 2024, I founded and directed the Dock of the Bay Music Documentary Film Festival in Donostia/San Sebastián. I have also held production management roles at festivals such as Punto de Vista (Navarra), MajorDocs (Mallorca), and the Granada Young Filmmakers Festival. In addition, I collaborate with LaBelle in San Sebastián as a project manager for music initiatives in digital distribution.

As a music supervisor, I curate and integrate musical repertoires into audiovisual projects while handling negotiations and rights management. My dual experience in both the film and music industries allows me to propose and develop a wide range of artistic projects. Years of working closely with musical and cinematic archives have also given me a unique and selective curatorial perspective, helping me shape compelling audiovisual experiences.
